För att uppfylla kraven på kvalitetssäkring samt evidensbaserad praktik måste hörapparatanpassning utvärderas objektivt. Syftet med studien är att redovisa nya forskningsresultat gällande objektiv utvärdering av hörapparater med hjälp av hörselgångsmätning, samt att beskriva en modern, evidensbaserad och kliniskt användbar metod för de vanligaste typerna av elektro-akustiska hörapparater med olika typer av insats. Studien består av en allmän litteraturstudie som beskriver tidigare rekommendationer samt en systematisk litteraturstudie där nya rön gällande metodiken vid hörselgångsmätning presenteras. Utifrån hörselgångsmätningens olika delmoment undersöker studien vilka konsekvenser de nya rönen har för utförandet vid hörselgångsmätning. The project deals with the evaluation and testing of speaker and microphone elements as well as microphone cavity.The first part of the report comprises a comprehensive theoretical part about drivers, microphone elements, and to some extent microphone cavity.The goal was to , on the behalf of the company Limes Audio AB, develop proposals on microphone element and cavity as well as drivers for a speakerphone application, based on specific factors. The main factors were performance, price and form factor.The aim was to create the best possible conditions for Limes Audio's software developers to implement the company's audio-enhancing software, mainly adaptive echo cancellation.The testing was carried out using Adobe Audition and MatLab. The test methods were developed in conjunction with Limes Audio and are described below.The project will result in suggestions for a speaker, a microphone and a cavity. The cavity were removed from the product because the results indicated that the cavity matter little for the end result.The report concludes with a discussion on how the measurements could have been enhanced to simplify the interpretation of the results and making the testing more efficient..

This C-essay focuses its research on the taste of guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying soundengineers, in using single or dual microphone setups when recording electric guitar. It will be shown if there is a significant difference in taste when using one or two microphones between the two testsubject groups. Two classical microphone setups have been used for the test of this essay, which includes a blind listening test. The information in this test will benefit both guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying engineers by getting greater knowledge regarding what kind of microphone setups to use for different occations. The findings in this essay show in general, that guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying engineers between the ages of 19 - 26 don?t have a specific taste between single or dual microphone setups when subjected to the blind listening test..

The acoustics in a control room is a complicated phenomenon. Early reflections, reverberation time and area in the room are some of the problems. This report is about the reflection on the mixing console in a control room. The control room being built, these reflections are difficult to take into consideration since the mixing console is one of the very last items you place in the room. This report will explain three main measurements that were done in order to get the answer to the following question: Does the mixing console interfere the frequency curve at listening position? Three measurements were done and the difference between the measurements was that the microphone and the loudspeakers were placed in different places in the control room.

Kognitiva modeller har föreslagit selektiv uppmärksamhet som en bidragande faktor till vidmakthållande av insomni. I denna studie tillämpades Dot-probe task inom ett experiment i syfte att undersöka huruvida graden av selektiv uppmärksamhet skiljer individer med insomni från en matchad grupp individer med normal sömn och hur en sådan selektiv uppmärksamhet i så fall är beskaffad. Även selektiv uppmärksamhet i relation till ångest och depression undersöktes. Resultaten visar på en signifikant skillnad mellan grupperna avseende selektiv uppmärksamhet samt att skillnaden inte kan förklaras av ångest och depression. Resultaten visar specifikt att den selektiva uppmärksamheten utgörs av svårigheter att avbryta fokus mot hot, snarare än en högre känslighet för upptäckande av hot.

Flow measurement is one of the greatest challenges in order to calculate efficiency in hydropower. Most hydropower plants in Sweden use differential pressure methods for flow measurement. These methods are dependent on constant conditions in the waterways. A change in these conditions, like turbine improvements, prevents differential pressure methods to verify efficiency improvements. Since efficiency improvements can?t be verified by one measurement system, another method, which isn?t affected by changing conditions, can be used.

In situ sekvensering är en metod som kan användas för att lokalisera differentiellt uttryck av mRNA direkt i vävnadssnitt, vilket kan ge viktiga ledtrådar om många sjukdomstillstånd. Idag förloras många av sekvenserna från in situ sekvensering på grund av det kvalitetsmått man använder för att säkerställa att sekvenser är korrekta. Det finns troligtvis möjlighet att förbättra prestandan av den nuvarande base calling-metoden eftersom att metoden är i ett tidigt utvecklingsskede. Vi har genomfört explorativ dataanalys för att undersöka förekomst av systematiska fel och korrigerat för dessa med hjälp av statistiska metoder. Vi har framförallt undersökt tre metoder för att korrigera för systematiska fel:I) Korrektion av överblödning som sker på grund avöverlappande emissionsspektra mellan fluorescenta prober.II) En sannolikhetsbaserad tolkningav intensitetsdata som resulterar i ett nytt kvalitetsmått och en alternativ klassificerare baseradpå övervakad inlärning.III) En utredning om förekomst av cykelberoende effekter, exempelvisofullständig dehybridisering av fluorescenta prober.Vi föreslår att man gör följande saker:Implementerar och utvärderar det sannolikhetsbaserade kvalitetsmåttetUtvecklar och implementerar den föreslagna klassificerarenGenomför ytterligare experiment för att påvisa eller bestrida förekomst av ofullständigdehybridisering.

Ribs from sheep, goat and pig are rarely assessed  to species due to the fact that they are very similar in their morphology and size. The ribs are instead considered unidentifiable although it is possible to see what kind of bone it is. If these ribs would be identified to species not only would species assessment degree of archaeological source material   increase, the relationship between meat-rich and meat poor regions would change.To find out whether there are morphologically measurable differences between sheep, goat and pig ribs, three measurement points on each rib has been defined and measured. At each measurement point two measurements were measured, one medial-lateral measurement and one cranial-caudal measurement. The ratio between the medial- lateral measurement and the cranial-caudal measurement was calculated for each point.

Syftet var att undersöka om exponering inför emotionella röster påverkar muskelanspänning och hjärtats slagfrekvens samt om det finns en samvariation mellan storlek eller längd på muskelanspänning vid aversiv emotionell input och grad av alexitymi. 24 studenter lyssnade på arga, glada och neutrala röster samtidigt som muskelanspänning mättes med EMG och hjärtats slagfrekvens med EKG. Grad av alexitymi mättes med Toronto Alexithymia Scale 20. Resultaten visade att arg eller glad röststimuli gav större muskelanspänningen än neutralröststimuli. Ingen skillnad i muskelanspänning fanns mellan arg eller glad röst.

The authors found that one of their measurement methods can’t be used to calculate the value of women leaders.
